Erma’s Original® Frozen Custard began as a small roadside stand outside downtown Utica, Michigan in 1942. Original frozen custard batch freezers were used to serve only vanilla custard in bowls to local patrons. Since then, Erma’s reputation has far surpassed her humble roots. While Erma’s is still just a small roadside custard stand, the menu has grown extensively to include different flavors, products, and specialties – like our famous Custard Puff. For over four generations, many people have come to love Erma’s Original® Frozen Custard and continue to bring their children and grandchildren back to enjoy it as well.
